Pat Kevin Ryan is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing New York's 18th congressional district since August 23, 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Ryan has a background as an Army officer and has engaged in various public service roles prior to his congressional career. His work in Congress has focused on issues such as national security and veterans' affairs, reflecting his military experience.
Are we risking our credit? Are we going to have a problem selling our bonds?
We are beginning to create a new entitlement without really actually paying for it.
That is what a lot of analysts are saying is going to be the next shoe to drop, is the commercial real estate market.
But that means our rates will then go up because people will leave Treasuries, yeah?
I have a great concern that the administration and Congress have exploited the current economic crisis, and the fear and diverted attention of the American people, to justify rushing through a sweeping and possibly irreversible expansion…
From being on Ways and Means for a number of year now, what ends up happening is we might pass a MedPAC recommendation or two and what we find out is Congress then takes that away because of political pressures and time.
The current system is not getting costs down. We are not attacking the root cause of health inflation.
Providing for our Nation's defense is the primary responsibility of the Federal Government.
I find it incredibly troubling that defense spending is seemingly the only place in which this effort was made.
