I strongly support prioritization of investments that conform to the President's climate action plan

additional Federal investments to renewable energy research are needed to speed the private sector's development of renewable technologies

it is imperative that we continue to invest in innovation at our Nation's colleges, universities and national labs

I strongly support Promise Neighborhoods. It is vital to comprehensively serve an entire neighborhood and create a pipeline of programs for children.

Well, let me just say, Mr. Chair, I think this is one of the biggest challenges we all face, because when an average kid can't afford college, even with a Pell Grant, we should all be concerned about that.

One of my concerns, and, I know it is a concern of many of my colleagues, but it hasn't been discussed as yet, is, after 13 years of war, the invisible wounds have been among the hardest to comprehend and to treat.

We still don't have----

I worry that the Republican majority's budget restrictions on the SEC are purposely intended to make it more difficult for the SEC to do its job.

This approach is nonsense. The SEC is entirely fee-funded, and, as such, providing adequate funding authority will not take a dime of U.S. Taxpayer dollars, nor will it have any impact on the deficit or the debt.

I would just suggest to you that you look at that very carefully.

We think there may be some encouraging news in this in that victims are feeling more confident that they can come forward without harassment.
