Mr. Speaker, I yield myself such time as I may consume. Mr. Speaker, I rise in support of this bill, which would rename a post office in Baltimore after Congressman Elijah Cummings. Congressman Cummings was born in Baltimore on January 18, 1951, and was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 1982. In 1996, Mr. Cummings was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and later served as the chairman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee. Mr. Speaker, I encourage my colleagues to support this bill, and I reserve the balance of my time.
