Claudia Tenney is a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing New York's 22nd congressional district since January 3, 2017. A member of the Republican Party, Tenney has been involved in various capacities within state and federal government. She has focused on issues such as economic development, tax reform, and veterans' affairs during her time in office. Tenney has also been vocal on matters related to higher education and accountability in academic institutions.
Rural people, such as myself and a number of the Members here, are already underserved just because everything is far away.

The nonpartisan nature of the SBA is so critically important to its mission.
My biggest concern, obviously, as the founder of the Election Integrity Caucus and someone who has been through this, why are we tasking a nonpartisan organization to get involved in partisan work outside the mission of small business.
As our economy approaches potentially a recession, it is important for our Committee to examine how the SBA can better support small businesses on the ground.
So in education, how do we get them to weather the storm through these rising costs?
