I guess I would like to start by standing with Dr. Bucshon in saying if we could block grant Medicaid back to the States I don't even think there would be a need for today's hearing.
In New York State, when the Federal Government makes a DSH payment the State pays nothing.
The 'Improving Oversight and Accountability in Medicaid Non-DSH Supplemental Payments Act' would improve the calculation, oversight, and accountability of non-DSH supplemental payments under the Medicaid program.
The Improving Oversight and Accountability in Medicaid Non-DSH Supplemental Payments Act, would improve the calculation, oversight, and accountability of non-DSH supplemental payments under the Medicaid program.
Thirty six or so States, as I understand it, absorb the Medicaid cost at the State level and there is no local share.
I am extraordinarily disappointed in the other side of the aisle here in trying to take away from your hard work.
I am somewhat befuddled that here we are having a hearing on what I think of as being waste, fraud, and abuse.
I am somewhat astounded that that vulnerability exists. That should be an immediate disqualifier.
I categorically reject that. Either your entire organization is incompetent... or they are complicit at the highest levels in a massive coverup that continues today.
