They had purchased it. They had it tonight, and they had it in the automobiles outside the temple, and they had the stinger missile but it was the FBI working obviously undercover, sold them the C-4, they have provided them with the stinger missile, sold it to them.

It is abundantly clear that the current financial crisis has exposed a number of issues within deposit insurance that do need to be dealt with.

Thank God for the FBI. Thank God for the NYPD. And it shows what a real threat we face from homegrown terrorists, and it shows especially those of us living in New York, we live with this every day.

Again, not for the parochial interests of New York, but I just see our cities across the Nation being at threat because of this.

I think of all the programs administered by the Department, I don't think any received a higher rating, both being effective, and yet there is going to be a 70 percent cut.

I promise you, I will try to restrain Congressman Pascrell when he gets going.

I just see this as being such a real threat to our cities.

Rather than lose because of bookkeeping tactics, I would ask if you would be willing to meet with officials involved in New York City Secure the Cities program.

I want to again commend you for reaching out, but again there are some real questions here which have to be addressed.

I look forward to working with you to ensure that the Department has the resources it needs to execute all its missions, including to prevent and respond to the threat of terrorism.
