We here in Washington and this government has no greater responsibility or moral duty than to make sure our veterans have the services and the care they have earned and they richly deserve.
We must reemphasize that as the VA works to improve its purchased care and care coordination programs, foremost remains the fact that none of these initiatives should be designed to replace the high quality of care provided by the VA…
I believe that that safety can be achieved in a balanced, reasonable way that does not unnecessarily burden the regulated community.
I hope that today's hearing will renew our relationship of working together to keep America's consumers safe from unreasonable risk of injury or harm.
