I personally believe very, very fervently that they have helped picture this issue in the minds of the American people in a positive fashion.
Does anyone think it's fair to have consumers pay $100 a week to fill their fuel tanks, and the big energy bosses fill their bank tanks?
Throughout Nevada, I was constantly asked about these skyrocketing gas prices, the intractable war in Iraq, taxes, immigration, education, health care, and, of course, Homeland Security.
So he, the president of the United States, must tell the American people whether the Bush's -- President Bush's Oval Office is a place where the buck stops or the leaks start.
I'm really disappointed. This is not a political campaign. The president should be the commander in chief, not the campaigner in chief. This is not the time for Karl Rove.
He understands, his job is to do what he can to energize Democrats on the grassroots level around the country, to raise money for the DNC, and leave the policy-making to the Democrats in the House and the Senate.
