During that time, the committee heard from 26 witnesses, 14 who were called by the House of Representatives and 12 witnesses who were called by Judge Porteous. The committee also conducted pretrial depositions of four witnesses and admitted into evidence the testimony of a number of witnesses, including Judge Porteous, who had testified in prior proceedings, more than 300 factual stipulations and hundreds of exhibits.
