I am just wondering if there is anything in the budget that is going to help to speed up the processes at the National Acquisition Center?
It is my goal with this amendment to help ensure that all veterans have the resources and support they deserve.
Republican and democrat alike, we can all agree that the best ideas do not come from Washington, D.C.; they come from individuals and communities.
I also thank Congresswoman Chu for her leadership on behalf of women entrepreneurs and small business owners across the country.
While I am not a veteran, both my father and my husband's father served in World War II.
My amendment would help ensure that the voices of veterans are heard as our government discusses how best to support veteran-owned small businesses and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
I want to commend my colleague, Marcia Fudge, who had an amendment that we did pass on food deserts.
