Now, we all know that the Supreme Court has suspended the use of section 5, but section 2 continues to be the law of the land.
The Voting Rights Act is a very serious piece of legislation that is deserving of our attention. It protects democracy.
Section 5, as I recall, in the Court's decision was found to be constitutional. That is what America needs to know.
