I truly wish you all the success in your term in office.

I am talking about my area, my district, the Northern Mariana Islands, sir.

the veterans in my district believe that our country has forgotten them.

I hope we can remain willing to listen to each other and to the many points of view we will hear from other members and witnesses.

I got promoted to ranking member just like this in probably my second invitation to this committee.

We actually have too many jobs and not enough workers and it is not as if people can get in their car and drive across the State line or county line and be there to occupy these jobs.

Personally, I would prefer we did not need these workers, that we had enough, but I thank you for doing so because I also know that you probably had the same personal preference as I do.

What happens then? Does our hospital close? What about those now on Medicaid, do they lose coverage?

I think you should be proud. There are so many things in the proposal that would serve Americans greatly.
