The text of the amendment is as follows: Amendment No. 11 offered by Mr. Walz: Page 85, after line 20 insert the following: (d) Education on Combat-Related Injuries.--Section 3001 of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 (50 U.S.C. 435b) is amended-- (1) by redesignating subsection (i) as subsection (j); and (2) by inserting after subsection (h) the following new subsection: ``(i) Education on Combat-Related Injuries.-- ``(1) In general.--The head of the entity selected pursuant to subsection (b) shall take such actions as such head considers necessary to educate each authorized adjudicative agency that is an element of the intelligence community on the nature of combat-related injuries as they relate to determinations of eligibility for access to classified information for veterans who were deployed in support of a contingency operation. ``(2) Definitions.--In this subsection: ``(A) Contingency operation.--The term `contingency operation' has the meaning given the term in section 101(a)(13) of title 10, United States Code. ``(B) Intelligence community.--The term `intelligence community' has the meaning given the term in section 3(4) of the National Security Act of 1947 (50 U.S.C. 401a(4)). ``(C) Veteran.--The term `veteran' has the meaning given the term in section 101(2) of title 38, United States Code.''.
