Mr. President, I thank the Senator from Maryland for her fine words. She is someone who knew the Court before there were any women on that Court. She has seen many changes. I thank her for her work. To break the glass ceiling, we have now been joined by one of our male colleagues, after hearing from five female colleagues. But we are going to let him speak. We have been joined by the senior Senator from the State of New Mexico. We are honored to have Senator Bingaman here to speak about Solicitor General Kagan.
