Madam Chairman, I have an amendment at the desk. The CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Amendment No. 6 offered by Ms. Edwards of Maryland: At the end of the bill, insert the following new section: SEC. 205. PRACTICES AND STANDARDS. The National Institute of Standards and Technology shall work with other Federal, State, and private sector partners, as appropriate, to develop a framework that States may follow in order to achieve effective cybersecurity practices in a timely and cost effective manner. The CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 1051, the gentlewoman from Maryland (Ms. Edwards) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentlewoman from Maryland.
