The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 563, after line 11, insert the following: SEC. 1510. FUNDING LEVELS AS REQUESTED IN PRESIDENT'S BUDGET. (a) Reductions.--Notwithstanding the amounts set forth in the funding tables in division D, the amounts authorized to be appropriated in this subtitle, as specified in the corresponding funding tables in sections 4102, 4202, 4302, 4402, and 4502, for additional funds for overseas contingency operations are hereby reduced by a total of $5,043,828,000. (b) Deficit Reduction.--The amount reduced under subsection (a) shall not be available for any purpose other than deficit reduction. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 260, the gentleman from Maryland (Mr. Van Hollen) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from Maryland.
