The amendment is as follows: (Purpose: To prohibit the use of funds for leasing activities in certain areas of the outer Continental Shelf) On page 81, between lines 23 and 24, insert the following: Sec. 30__. None of the funds made available by this Act shall be used by the Secretary of the Interior for the conduct of offshore preleasing, leasing, and related activities in the North Atlantic, Mid-Atlantic, South Atlantic, and Straits of Florida Planning Areas of the outer Continental Shelf described in the memorandum entitled ``Memorandum on Withdrawal of Certain Areas of the United States Outer Continental Shelf from Leasing Disposition'', 34 Weekly Comp. Pres. Doc. 1111, dated June 12, 1998.
