With the nature of airports, small rural airports, they have unique challenges. I think it's an area where we should continue.

I know, you know, that some of the reviews of 9/11 taught us that so many lives would have been saved had that been in place.

It's an area that I'm going to be looking at myself, because I think we need stronger penalties.

the role of security is a Government role; and so as we come away from this hearing, we understand our obligation, particularly being Members of the Homeland Security Committee, to do this, to protect our citizens, to make sure our commerce is clear and protect our economy and our jobs.

We are just days away from the 10th anniversary of 9/11. This testimony today indicated that we are light years--we have moved light years in our understanding and anticipating and preparing for all kinds of terrorist threats.
