This will not end homelessness. The only way for us to do that as a society is to be honest about it and to try to put money on the table to build more affordable housing.
Regulation is important, and if we are going to get a bipartisan deal done here, I think we need to be factual and we need to understand that some regulation is very important.
If you want to look at facts, let's look at the compliance costs, which are now 30 times what I was told they would be on this committee when that bill passed.
