The Public Record
I am not so sure how I fit into this bipartisanship. It is not comfortable for my role.
My intent is simply to allow business to do something that I don't think we intended to do in the first place.
I never thought that any law was 100 percent. And I think part of our responsibility is when we do something, if we find a problem with it later on, we should fix it.
I consider myself a great defender and a great supporter of Dodd-Frank and all these items that we have discussed today.
I don't see how a private entity could possibly care--or should care, again, that is not their role--in the interests of the general public who live underneath these flight paths.
But the taxpayers are supposed to give over billions of dollars of property to a private.
I think we have a pretty good system. Can it be improved? Of course it can be improved, anything can be improved.
Clearly, I think America has spoken in every capacity they can to you and to your organization that they want to prioritize this.
