In order to get back to work by 5 a.m., which is the 8-hour period, you have to wake up, grab a shower, check out of the hotel, have a little something to eat, grab a ride back to the airport, get off that shuttle, walk through security…
fair is fair. And fair is a level playing field, the Government not paying me to do what somebody else already does.
Did they do their job? ... And their job was a little bit more than serving drinks and picking up after my trash. It was saving my life.
The Norwegian thing is horrendous. It is an absolutely wrong decision and it is heading in a direction exactly as you described, Ms. Nelson. It is jeopardizing American jobs.
I think we can have modern NextGen equipment, saving you some money, saving me some time, and still concern ourselves with the quality of life of people who live under flight paths.
It is just not right. And this system was created a long time before I got here.
I have great misgivings about how we did this. I would like Congress to be part of this process.
I would like my people--my people through me--to have some input into this process.
But apparently some people on the other side are saying, 'My God, that is too much. We can't keep that $6. The heck with those depositors.'
