I want to express my appreciation for that warm Alaskan welcome.

For the Alaska that I see is not the Alaska of no new starts.

I do. I think we will spend probably more time in California than any other State of the Union.

I want to thank the Governor for being here, and I will be glad to answer any questions anyone will have.

I have no idea of what is the source of these and, having no idea, I would not attempt to lay them at anyone's door.

The theme of this campaign is going to be action, action here at home to keep pace with the growing needs of an expanding country, and action abroad to meet the challenge of our adversaries.

I don't see how one can say that there are no longer any major issues.

This is not a one-man crusade.

I think it is appropriate that we begin the 1960 campaign right here in the State of California.

I think it is time we got started.

I am completely convinced of it.
