Mr. Chair, I rise to offer an amendment. The CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 28, line 7, strike ``and''. Page 28, line 11, strike the period and insert ``; and''. Page 28, after line 11, insert the following: ``(C) fishery research and independent stock assessments, conservation gear engineering, at-sea and shoreside monitoring, fishery impact statements, and other priorities established by the Council as necessary to rebuild or maintain sustainable fisheries, ensure healthy ecosystems, and maintain fishing communities.''.
