The water system is really poor. Electricity is non-existent. Communications actually started getting a little bit better today. We have not figured out the fuel situation. Don`t come back before the parish tells you that they are ready to receive you, because you`re just going to create another demand on the system that can`t withstand the demand that it currently has.

Quite frankly, you know, I will be surprised -- not pleasantly surprised, but unpleasantly surprised if it actually is 30 days before we start to see power being restored.

If there`s a silver lining, and today, it`s kind of hard to see one, it is that our levee systems really did perform extremely well.

I will just tell you that I had a number of conversations overnight and today with parish presidents and other officials who believe that the death count attributable to the hurricane will go up because they see catastrophic damage in certain places that they have every reason to believe were inhabited at the time the damage occurred.
Either pain on shore with everything that was advertised. The surge, the rain, the wind, all of our levee systems, particularly our federal levee systems and hurricane risk reduction systems performed magnificently. Having said that, the damage is still catastrophic.

As bad as things have been over the last couple of weeks, they`ve just been tend to move in the wrong direction, 2907 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19. That`s the highest we`ve ever had in any given day. We`re in a bad place.
