Only Congress has the authority to coin money and regulate the value of such money.
There is no support for a CBDC in Congress, except from those on the fringes.
the American who sells that land gets to put that money in the bank or into other investments that will grow the U.S. economy.

Anyone who says we should make everything in the United States, I invite them to come up with a business plan to make a microwave oven that will retail for $42, manufactured in the U.S. with highly-paid labor.
History tells us that systemic financial risks do not come from politically-driven overreaction to emerging risk, but rather from regulatory capture.
