this is easily the most anemic recovery we have had since the Great Depression.

The Public Record
I just had a small business meeting just this past Monday. And I had a small business with 33 employees that they are in the process of going under.
What I hear over and over back home is they are scared to death with all the uncertainty coming out of Washington.
You are not enforcing your own statute. Who is telling you, I know this is not you, who is telling you not to enforce the statute?
I appreciate that the city of Washington, DC, is at a breaking point right now and I am just really curious as to why people above you do not let you enforce the law.
Small business in this country is dying. They are not growing, they are not hiring.
I would just implore you to commit to looking out for small businesses and community banks.
It seems like whatever we tend to do up here, the big banks, big business is able to adjust to; small businesses and community banks get hit hard.
I can tell you that my clients are mystified by what is going on just in general.
