We should be under no illusions. There is chaos in Iraq at the moment.

That is the true genius of America. A faith -- a faith in simple dreams. An insistence on small miracles. That we can tuck in our children at night and know that they're fed and clothed and safe from harm.

I think we make a mistake when we fail to acknowledge the power of faith in people's lives.
