I want to thank Admiral Harris for keeping an eye on Guam ever since you have been in your present position.

Since I have been here on the Armed Services Committee, they have always been very supportive of Guam.

I am concerned regarding the U.S.

The people of Guam are proud to host the continued bomber presence and one leg of the nuclear triad.

Considering our strategic importance, is Guam adequately defended from theater missile threats?

Without question, I think my colleagues would agree that the U.S. Navy is the most powerful fleet in the world.

Actions speak louder than words, and we must ensure that the recommendations included in these reviews are promptly considered and acted upon.

Mr. Secretary, I strongly support the national strategy's intent to keep our forces forward deployed.

I hope that we can continue our positive dialogue and work on a solution that supports American jobs and our readiness in the region.
