I think the idea that success is going to be defined as Mogadishu is crazy.

Yes, and you can't just go home and lecture them. You actually have to go to home and have a genuine conversation.

The guy is in shock. His pollster told him he was going to win by 34 points. He goes into election night totally confident. He outspent his opponent 25 to 1.

I do think that the results of the last week were, for example, over the weekend 700 children crossed the American border, everything the president has said about controlling the border is totally not true.

I think this is about a scale heat earthquake. I think it will shock the Washington establishment and will shock the House Republicans.

I just think in the country at large there is a growing exhaustion with negative politics and negative attacks.

In the end, the voters get to decide. It is not the money or the PACs or the consultants.

And people need to have a little bit of respect for the right of the voter to have attention paid to them and the right of the voter to throw people out if they're not happy with them.

This country is angry about Washington. It's angry about terrorists being released. It's angry about Obamacare, angry about the economy.

I get frankly pretty sick of the Washington elites telling us what we should tell people, if you can't go home and explain what you're doing, you should change what you're doing or you should quit your job.

I think Speaker Boehner has made very clear that he is going to produce immigration reform in the House. I suspect they'll get it done by June or July.
