Oral statement on H.R. 981

I understand what a troll is, but I also know that every person or entity that files a patent infringement suit is not a troll.

I believe that the title of this hearing, 'The Obama Administration's Abuse of Power,' is indeed indicative of the politicization of this hearing.

It seems to me that all across the Nation, there is a stigma in the urban areas in terms of being Black and being a male, and that leads to a disproportionate share of our prison system, both state and Federal, being represented by that particular demographic, Black males, young Black males in particular.

I think this is a new tax, and it is not simply a tax that is due.

I appreciate community banks in general. In fact, when I was a practicing lawyer, my accounts were at a local community bank.

I strongly urge this committee to follow the president's lead and invest in America.

I urge this committee to make LIHEAP a priority in its budget.
