My concern is not only that we might get our project stalled again, but my concern is this.

Daniel Alan Webster is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 11th congressional district since January 3, 2013. A member of the Republican Party, he has focused on issues such as education, healthcare, and fiscal responsibility during his time in office. Webster previously served in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate, where he gained experience in state-level legislation before moving to Congress. He is known for his commitment to conservative principles and has been active in various congressional committees.
I do not understand why we have that in the law. So I persist in saying that we have really got to do something about that.
I want to echo Mr. Webster and say thank you, thank you so much on the course modification on the Picayune Strand, the Central Everglades restoration projects.
I want to thank you for your commitment to resilient construction and the use of techniques that will allow these projects to not just last for current times, but for into the future.
Thank you, Mr. Chairman, for holding this meeting. I do not have a question, but I would like to thank General Jackson for the State of Florida and the three Chief's Reports that have come forward.
The Everglades are iconic, and what you are doing there is really going to be monumental for us and for Florida.

I would like to thank Secretary Darcy and General Bostick for their leadership on Everglades restoration in Florida.
So part of what WRRDA does is give us an opportunity to look at alternative financing, which we are aggressively doing now, because the Federal Government cannot do this on its own.
I mean, it is not just something we just sort of took a look at and thought: Well, this might be nice. We are willing to help out in any possible way to implement this.
