Depriving the institutions that serve our most vulnerable college students of the resources made available to predominantly white 4 year universities is contrary to our values and the best interest as a Nation.

On behalf of the American people, Congress, the Board of Regents, and Smithsonian management have a responsibility to ensure the continued success of the institution for future generations.
I think that is important, because what we are trying to do is, at the same time, sort of build resiliency in the population so people begin to ask those questions: Who is supporting this? How are they doing it? Where is the money coming from? Et cetera.
One of the issues that hasn't come up is actually gun violence and the impact that has on students.
I would hope that given the Trump administration's Stated interest in growing apprenticeships, it will embrace the opportunity to meaningfully scale up Registered Apprenticeships systems through this bill.
