(b) Transfer of Amounts to Treasury.--Not later than September 30, 2022, the Secretary of Defense shall transfer to the general fund of the Treasury not less than a total of $1,600,000,000 in amounts authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available for fiscal year 2022 for the Department of Defense, to be derived from amounts authorized for procurement or operation and maintenance, or a combination thereof.
