It is time for Congress to get back into the business of partnering with states and districts in support of schools.
However, when a charter school falls short of that promise, we owe it to the students, the families, and the teachers to hold the school responsible for improvement and close that school, if necessary, if they can't meet those goals.
The longer the delay between the filing of the petition and the election date, the more likely it is that the NRLB will issue complaints charging employers with illegal activity.
I would like to commend you for your vigilance on ensuring the districts allocate resources more fairly and improve student access to effective teachers.
