The Public Record
Our Nation's capacity to mitigate the impacts of all types of biological events is a top National security priority.
I do agree with Prime Minister Netanyahu, who said, in this case, the enemy of our enemy is our enemy, and not our friend.
Terrorists have long had an interest in using chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear agents, or CBRN, in their attacks.
We know that, given the opportunity, terrorists will acquire and use military-grade chemical weapons or other chemical agents in their attacks.
I don't believe the F-35 replaces the A-10 and the capabilities it brings to the fight.
It needs to be a comprehensive whole-of-Government approach, for sure. But I sure would prefer to be on the offense primarily.
We didn't have the political will to do anything about it on the offense at the time, not thinking it was within our interest or it wasn't a threat to our country.
