The president today missed a chance again for the 14th day in a row to say that these ads are dishonest and despicable, the words of John McCain.
The hope is McCain will convince those moderate Republicans and swing voters who backed him back then to back Mr. Bush now.
There's not much question, once again, 38 percent of his tax cut to the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans. My friends -- my friends, I don't think Bill Gates needs a tax cut.
I doubt it, the, given the high visibility that he has, but I believe that he will get the reward that he deserves for his brutal torture and mistreatment of the Iraqi people.
McCain has frequently criticized the president, but his appeal to independent voters out west is seen as an important asset to the Bush campaign.
He did bring down the Soviet empire and he did it through strength of character and vision and history will judge him I think very highly for that.
In your judgment were these abuses a result of an overall military or intelligence policy to 'soften up detainees for interrogation'?
It's terrible. It's tragic. It also shows the stark difference between America and these barbarians.
