John Nichols Boozman is an American politician and optometrist currently serving as the junior United States senator from Arkansas, a position he has held since January 5, 2011. A member of the Republican Party, Boozman has focused on various issues including agriculture, healthcare, and veterans' affairs during his tenure in the Senate. He has been an advocate for policies that support the agricultural community, often emphasizing the importance of collaboration between government and local farmers.
I applaud Secretary Shinseki's initiative and look forward to VA instituting a highly structured, disciplined approach to project management.
In my district and I think in every Member's district, in fact I think every elected official right now, every day that they get up they need to think how can I create jobs, how can I protect pension plans, and things like that.
Knowing that things seldom go 100 percent as planned, I guess I would feel more comfortable if VA came to us with problems.
I believe this is our fourth oversight hearing on VA's progress toward implementing the new chapter 33 GI Bill.
