Reports suggest that AFRICOM has been under-resourced because of Afghanistan.

Do you think that this mission focus prohibited AFRICOM from being effective in responding to the Benghazi incident?

The bottom line is that our agencies didn't do enough to protect our people on the ground and we have to do better.

It doesn't seem to me that we were moving with a sense of urgency, given that we had an ambassador missing.

Please explain how the AFRICOM CIF will be used. Will it be positioned in a location that gives it the flexibility to respond more quickly in times of regional crisis like Benghazi?

I certainly hope the House will take up that legislation and pass it so that we can address the resources that are required to make sure this doesn't happen again in our embassies and missions around the world.
