Well, for real people, this is every minute, every hour. It means people are going hungry. It means they`re getting further behind on their rent. They`re worried about losing their car. This has already taken far, far too long.

If we don`t address this gerrymander problem, then two years from now, we will be dealing with gerrymandered districts for the next decade.

We need to do everything we can to get this past to re-enfranchise people, but also to do away with politicians essentially choosing their voters instead of the other way around.

They don`t have to change their policies. They could have -- continue to have backward regressive policies. They don`t have to appeal to what their constituents want, as long as they can essentially prohibit people from voting who won`t…

Well, I share that sense of urgency because if we don`t address this effort to disenfranchise people by the enactment of various laws at the state level, and now there are over 150 new proposals by Republican legislators to cut people off…

It`s why it`s really our first bill, H.R.1 because it is so foundational.

We`re proud of this legislation. It will not erase centuries of systemic racism and excessive policing, and it will not bring back George Floyd, but it will take a tremendous step forward.

This legislation is there to protect the right to vote, to remove obstacles of participation, H.R.1, For the People.

These allegations are very serious against Governor Cuomo, made by serious individuals and deserve a serious and independent investigation.

I am very concerned about not only internally displaced people, but, of course, refugees, also.

Would you work with us under this Administration in partnership with California on fuel economy standards that can improve standards and environmental quality nationally?
