the health data on women are changing, and the recent IOM report over the last 2 years shows that mortality and morbidity among women is on the rise.

I see that as progress.

I think this is the least absurd proposal to come forward from the FDA I have ever seen.

the American public would say it is worth some additional cost in the system to make sure that we are protected.

So you have sameness issues now that are kind of initiated from the innovator brand side of the equation.

It seems to me this notion that if a trial lawyer has a positive opinion of the proposal, that somehow that should taint, undermine, or eliminate the concerns that the broad public has about seeing this kind of proposal.

I will be interested to hear testimony that backs those kinds of assumptions up because I am skeptical of them, as I think you are, and certainly Congressman Waxman has indicated his skepticism about that.

Frankly, my colleagues and I do not agree with how NASA's proposed budget balances these cuts.

That was a bold decision on your part.

If we can get the President's request funded at $848 million, based on having the $696 million that we have this year in 2014, we should be on target for an American capability in 2017.

I don't want to be beating a dead satellite here, but Earth science is $56 million below fiscal year 2014.

I think all of us are under the impression that NASA, that the taxpayers are actually providing the bulk of the support for Commercial Crew.

We cannot tolerate this in this committee. We have to get value for the dollar, be accountable to the taxpayers.

So when we saw this $186 million, it was deeply troubling.

I was deeply troubled to receive the President's budget. I was deeply troubled in the area of NASA because there was a reduction of $186 million from fiscal 2014.
