As Chairman Lankford noted last week, the Russian attacks on our election infrastructure in 2016 were an attack on our democracy.

Your legacy, I suspect, will be determined by how well you, working with all of the wonderful people at NASA and other contractors, deliver on finishing James Webb.

We can't go put a pair of glasses on it the way we did Hubble. We can't go make adjustments. It has to fly correctly.

So the balance that this committee will have as we walk through the process and the insight that we'll need from you is: We have redundancy in this area; we could use those resources in another area more efficiently.
