Madam Speaker, I yield myself such time as I may consume. Madam Speaker, I rise today in support of H.R. 1687, which honors former Secretary of the Navy Paul Ignatius. In this position, he was the highest ranking Armenian American in the U.S. military. Secretary Ignatius began his naval career during World War II. After graduating from Harvard Business School, he began to work with the Department of Defense in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. It was under President Johnson that he became Secretary of the Navy in 1967. Madam Speaker, I encourage my colleagues to support this bill, and I reserve the balance of my time.
