There is a rational argument for saying we need to get to a peace settlement in Ukraine, and Ukraine's got to be willing to come and be willing to negotiate that.
The real problem now is all of the Republicans here who claim to support Ukraine, who claimed that they don't -- you know, they don't want to support Putin. They don't want to see Putin succeed. They support Ukraine. They're going to support an aid package and they just don't do it.
That's exactly what Putin has been after from the beginning. And so many people have sort of helped him do that by claiming that, oh, Putin would have made peace if we had just said, Ukraine won't join NATO or any number of other things. That's simply aren't true.
Maduro has proven amenable to some sort of quid pro quo of sanctions relief for some moves for democratization.
