Mr. Speaker, I yield myself such time as I may consume. I rise today in support of H.R. 706, the DHS Biodetection Improvement Act. Amidst the vast and evolving threat landscape we face today, our vigilance against biological weapons must remain strong. This bill will direct DHS to address the shortcomings it has faced in acquiring technologies for biodefense. Mr. Speaker, I thank the gentleman from Alabama (Mr. Strong) for his work on this legislation, and I reserve the balance of my time.
