Mr. Speaker, I rise in strong support of this bipartisan Export-Import Bank reauthorization. The Ex-Im Bank was founded by FDR to increase the competitiveness of American exports. It provides significant capital for U.S. companies and provides opportunities for U.S. jobs, allowing our companies to be competitive with companies overseas. It provides confidence to businesses and investors, allowing them to compete in the global marketplace. In Rhode Island alone, The Bank has helped 26 businesses with a combined export value of $134 million. The Ex-Im Bank is a vital part of our Nation's economic infrastructure, and I urge my colleagues to support its reauthorization.
