I am pleased to report that Puerto Rico is emerging from a challenging period with strength and optimism into a new era of stability evidenced by the island's economic upswing.

The damage that we have suffered, because of this hurricane, is rain-related, mostly. It's going to - by the time, the tail leaves Puerto Rico, we will have gotten roughly 35 inches of rain. That's a huge amount of rain.

Congress should call for a vote on the political future of Puerto Rico and commit to implementing the will of the majority.
