Democrats and the Biden administration don't want to examine the true cost of these policy choices to the environment, human rights, and national security in the United States and around the world.

I have nothing against electric vehicles. I want to make that clear. But Americans deserve the right and the ability to choose an affordable car that meets their needs rather than being forced to pay more because of a Government mandate.

That is a decision that belongs in this committee, the Energy and Commerce Committee.
