Mr. Speaker, although the gentlewoman from Indiana (Mrs. Walorski) did not actually talk about the minimum wage increase which is before us, I do note that about 40 percent of the workers in her district would be affected by this, with annual average raises of $3,200 a year. Before I just make a couple of other points, Mr. Speaker, I include in the Record the following letters: The first letter is from the Service Employees International Union, SEIU, and the second is from the Communications Workers of America, both sharing overwhelming support for H.R. 582, the Raise the Wage Act.
