Mr. Speaker, I rise today in support of H. Res. 568. This resolution supports President Obama's policy towards Iran. As the President stated during the AIPAC annual convention in March: Iran's leaders should understand that I do not have a policy of containment; I have a policy to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. President's Obama's commitment to Israel's security is ironclad. America has stood with Israel under this administration which has facilitated unprecedented levels of security assistance for Israel, increasing every single year, even in a tough domestic budget environment. Above all, President Obama has directed his administration to prevent--not merely contain--Iran achieving nuclear weapons capability. I urge my colleagues to vote in favor of this resolution, supporting the President's position and affirming that the U.S.-Israel relationship is too important to be distorted by politics. I thank Chairman Ros-Lehtinen and Ranking Member Howard Berman for bringing us together in a united way and passing this resolution.
