Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until tomorrow, Tuesday, March 8 at 9:30 a.m.; that following the prayer and pledge, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed expired, and the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day; that following leader remarks there be a period of morning business for 2 hours, with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each, with the time equally divided and controlled by the two leaders or their designees, with 30 minutes of the Democratic time under the control of Senator John Kerry; that the Republicans will control the first hour, the majority to control the second hour; following morning business, the Senate resume consideration of S. 23, the America Invents Act, postcloture; further, that the Senate recess from 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus meetings; and, finally, I ask that any time during any period of adjournment, recess, or period of morning business count postcloture.
